Climate barometer 2023
The Netherlands has the potential to make a significant impact on reducing global warming. The 74 Dutch companies analyzed in the Climate Barometer alone are collectively responsible for at least 2.4% of global CO2 emissions.
This percentage is actually even higher since about a quarter of these companies do not report or only partially report their scope 3 emissions. In addition, these companies are only a small subset of the approximately 7,500 companies that will fall under the scope of the CSRD from 2024.
This shows that Dutch business has the potential to make a significant impact on global emissions reductions.
